Peel Land drives support for Bolton Lads and Girls Club
Peel Land has continued its support for Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC), taking part in the charity's annual Golf Day and helping to fund vital services for young people across the borough.
On 12 June, Peel Land's Richard Knight, Anabel Nuttall, Harry Williams and David Diggle took part in BLGC's annual Golf Day, supporting fundraising efforts for the charity's work in the local community. Alongside a round of golf, the team attended the event's fundraising auction, which helps raise money for the wide range of services and opportunities BLGC provides for children and young people.

Peel Land has been a long-standing supporter of the club and has already supported four fundraising and community initiatives this year, including the annual Christmas Appeal, which provides gifts for children who may otherwise have nothing to open on Christmas morning.
BLGC's mission is to enable children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to live happier and healthier lives by providing safe spaces, engaging activities and trusted support when they need it most.

This mission closely aligns with Peel Land's work through Health Innovation Bolton (HIB), which aims to tackle health inequalities by improving access to healthcare facilities and services. Peel Land is also working alongside Bolton NHS Foundation Trust to support improvements at Royal Bolton Hospital and help shape the future delivery of healthcare services across the town.
Emma King, Marketing and Communications Manager, said: “Working with the BLGC allows us to give back to the communities we work so closely with, and with our mission for HIB to improve access to healthcare facilities and decrease health inequality in Bolton this is one of the best organisations to partner with. BLGC is a vital resource for young people, regardless of background, in Bolton and we are proud to be able to say we are a regular supporter for this cause."

Victoria Hozaifeh, Head of Fundraising for Bolton Lads and Girls Club, said: "Peel Land has been a fantastic long-term partner of BLGC (Bolton Lads and Girls Club), and we're incredibly thankful for their continued support. Their commitment to our Golf Day, Christmas Appeal and wider fundraising efforts helps ensure thousands of young people can access life-changing opportunities, trusted support and a safe place to belong. Partnerships like this make a real and lasting difference to young lives across Bolton and beyond."
BLGC and Peel Land share a common commitment to supporting the local community. Recently, Bolton Lads and Girls Club shared their impact report, explaining how Peel Land’s sponsorship has assisted the charity with their mission throughout the year. According to the report, Peel Land's contributions have helped support approximately 20,000 free visits to BLGC's Infinity Youth Club – around half of the venue's typical annual footfall of 40,000 visits.

These contributions also help ensure young people can access the support, facilities and services they need, including free hot meals for those facing food insecurity.
Peel Land's support contributes to BLGC's food programme, which provides around 2,500 meals each month. For some young people, these meals may be the only hot meal they receive in a day. Alongside this provision, BLGC delivers workshops and life-skills sessions that help young people develop cooking skills and improve their understanding of nutrition and healthy eating.

Peel Land's community support extends beyond its partnership with BLGC. Earlier this year, members of the team volunteered at Royal Bolton Hospital's Baby Memorial Garden, helping to restore and maintain the space ahead of future remembrance events.
As the year progresses, Peel Land looks forward to continuing its support for charities and organisations that make a positive difference across Bolton and Greater Manchester, helping to strengthen communities and create lasting social impact.
