CREATING AN ICONIC NEW GOLF RESORT AND COMMUNITY

Peel’s revised proposals for the ground-breaking restoration and redevelopment of the Hulton Park Estate will create a new international sports destination and resort, bringing a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits to the community creating over 1,000 jobs and providing a mix of much-needed housing.

The venue would be capable of hosting the world-famous Ryder Cup golf tournament in 2031 or 2035 and the proposals present a huge levelling up opportunity for Bolton and the North West - worth £1.6bn in socio-economic benefits for the area over 20 years.

The plans include a range of community facilities such as a health and wellbeing hub, which could support facilities such as a lido, gym and space for exercise classes, Chequerbent Barns, a flexible food and drink venue and a new village hall.

The new resort and community will be located within a beautiful parkland setting, which will enhance access to nature through new parks, meadows and hides. Importantly, the Hulton Park Estate will be opened to surrounding communities through a network of new and improved trails equating to around 15km of walkways, cycle paths and nature trails.

Planning permission was granted in 2022 and we are working with our partners to progress the delivery of the project.
